As a key step to roll out our vision for Green Ducklings, we are happy to welcome Mathias Hörmann to the team as Senior Risk & Insurance Advisor.
Mathias leverages 30 years experience as Insurance Underwriter – 20 years of which has been dedicated to the Energy Sector. The past 12 years has been dedicated as Senior Underwriter at Munich Re for offshore wind defects liability insurance. With the impressive carrier background Mathias will be strengthening Green Duckling’s client offerings with hands-on best-in-class insights to the key risk elements of offshore wind and not least how to understand, quantify and cope with this in the delivery of projects and products.
Some of Mathias’ major focus areas are to support offshore wind risk managers, advisors, developers and brokers in;
– An underwriter’s perspective on project risks and insurability
– Challenges in insuring giant wind turbines, cables, foundations and floating wind.
– Second opinion on contractual exposure and insurance concepts.
– Evaluation of guarantee clauses in supply and EPC contracts.
– Sparring’s partner for technical due diligence.
•Mentor for technical and insurance aspects of emerging concepts
At Green Ducklings Mathias will be responsible for all risk analysis and evaluations in our client engagements.
